Alright then, Terrance mused as he headed towards the forges and armory. It seemed that this Ikuto person wasn't a big talker nor one to waste words. Terrance could appreciate that and actually rather was glad of it. It seemed that a lot of people here were chatty Kathies even if they tried to pull off the misunderstood loner act. He himself usually didn't talk much, but then again, Thanos usually talked enough for both of them.

While trying not to make it obvious, Terrance kept the other in his peripheral vision as they walked, adjusting his stride as he needed to keep the man in his sights. While it was touted that he was supposed to be able to trust the councilors and members of staff, the teenager thought it was stupid to blindly do so. Ikuto was an unknown and Terrance didn't like unknowns. The only thing he did know that was screaming at him was not to show his back to him.

"The armory has just the basics," he stated resuming his 'tour guide duty'. "Bows, arrows, spears, the like. No specialty items. Those are either self made or paid for to those of the Hephaestus cabin." What he left unsaid was that sometimes someone won something in bet, by conquest, or finding favor with a deity.

Turning over what he wanted to ask, Terrance wondered if he let it escape his lips, if the man would answer. It seemed that he was just as careful answering Terrance's questions as the teen was when asking. Deciding the risk was worth it, he tried to make the comment seem as if it was offhand. "Are you an imbuer?"

From the man's build, it didn't seem as if he would be the type that would forge weapons, but perhaps would put on the final touches. Or enchant it or whoever they imbued weapons and shields with protections and abilities. Terrance wasn't sure if he'd correctly stated the term since he wasn't much for reading or talking and having only come upon camp medieval here recently.

Ikuto easily followed Terrance to the forges and armory; creating a mental map as he went off the distance they were walking, things he could see, and the path they took.

So far, he liked Terrance because he said what was needed and, for the most part, that was it. Also because of his, obvious to him, actions. Years of being hunted, of hunting, of keeping a low profile, of assuming the worst in all, of always being on one's guard, had its toll. And this experience led to Ikuto noticing how Terrance always kept him in sight.

Ikuto mentally applauded him for it. These were excellent skills to have and instincts to follow because they could save your life if needed.

So he didn't comment on it and made no overt gesture to suggest he noticed. Instead, he listened as Terrance spoke and let the thought and observations become background noise. Including the thought that if Terrance continued to surprise him like this, he'd teach him how to make such moves seamless and natural so at times not even the most diligent like himself would notice.

Ikuto hummed in acknowledgment to the words spoke by Terrance, greedily taking it all in and letting it fuel his excitement over finally, finally being at the infamous camp.

Only to be grounded moments later by Terrance's insightful question, even though the truth of it was that he could probably only imbue for himself and someone truly connected to him, such as a mate if he ever found one.

So, he improvised with the truth.

"While I recognize the term and know of some processes, both mortal and not, to do so, I have not imbued before."

His answer was the truth, just not the complete one.

"Do you ask because you wish to, or because you can and wish for guidance?"

Not knowing how the man would act upon his question, Terrance's body while wanting to flee, yet he held still wanting to know the answer. He was surprised himself with the answer he received and considered what the man said, brow furrowing as he nodded slowly. Blinking caught unawares by being questioned about the ability, Terrance shook his head no. He didn't believe he had the ability but he sometimes thought he could not see per se, but feel if something had been enchanted? No, he didn't like that term. When something was given something extra. Maybe it was just in his head.

Turning his full attention to Ikuto, he debated back and forth if he should say what he suspected about Thanos but then locked his jaw shut. No, something like that had to be talked over with the other boy first. But, if this man knew how to do what he said...

"Thank you for the offer," and he was thankful even if a bit suspicious still of people offering something with no strings attached. "But I don't have that skill."

Glancing about those mingling at the forges he relaxed slightly even while frowning not seeing what he wanted. "Did you want to stay here or did you want to continue with your tour?"

Ikuto took in those who were making weapons as well as all of the offered equipment. It was decent and once he learned people's schedules he could sneak in and do what he wanted without observation, though he had to plan being seen during acceptable times making the weapons so they don't just appear out of the blue.

With a basic plan outlined, he refocused on Terrance.

He nodded. "You're welcome."

It was interesting that this human asked about something that he can't do, but clearly, is invested in for some reason.

He let the thought fall back for now.

"I am done." He turned his back on the forges and Terrance, to look out at the area.

"Where to next?"

Ikuto was...strange to say the least. Stranger than the rest of the people here at this camp. Nodding, nonplussed at the man's words and actions, Terrance gestured toward the woods. "That's the North Woods." He explained about how Mr. D. though it was a brilliant idea to have the place stocked with monsters for the campers to combat. About capture the flag and how the river marked the border.

"The stables house Pegasi." Terrance wasn't sure how to be a tour guide and he was sure that the director of this place had chose him to torture him, possible Ikuto as well. It had surprised him that he had absorbed more information than he'd thought in order to regurgitate it. That's all it was though. He knew that some people found some part of camp more interesting than others and got excited. As of yet, the closest thing that might have that honor was ironically enough the woods.

Pointing in the opposite direction he told the man about the climbing wall that spewed lava and admitted that he hadn't visited the place yet.

For a brief moment, he wondered if his teaching would lead him to being one of the monsters in the woods, but it quickly passed. He had a feeling that his instruction would be geared towards information on monsters, according to the geographical information what monsters would be there, monster weaknesses, the best way to use objects near as a tool to bring down monsters if the best item wasn't there, etc. And no, he didn't mind selling out other monsters to the demi-gods. The two lines he was branched up either didn't visit this plane often (the Phoenix) or there weren't enough powerful ones to truly be worried about plus they were all in one general area (Naga).

As such, unless he knew of someone going into Naga territory, he had no real reason to teach it immediately. There were far more pressing monsters to worry about.

On another note, he should stay away from the stables unless he was singing. Pegasi were rare and he had never met one in person so he couldn't say how such a being would react to his predatory presence.

Also, a rock wall with lava was not something he would ever enjoy. Yes, he liked basking in the sun like any other snake. Yes, he connected with the Earth. But lava was like chaotic Earth, and he connected with passive Earth. Yeah, he wasn't good at describing it, because it was all instinctual.

"Is there a boundary around the woods to keep the monsters from reaching the main part of camp?" He asked softly.

Curiosity was sparked in the teenager at the soft tone causing him to focus his attention on the man more fully. Terrance had learned that a soft voice could mean many things. Some people's voices softened and got quiet the angrier they got. There were some whose voice went quiet and soft when their confidence went down or became too emotional. Neither were the cause for this man's voice, of that he was nearly a hundred percent certain. Was it fear? For himself or the campers? Perhaps both as he was supposed to be an instructor? Terrance believed the man was a bit too old to be a camper. Even the oldest halfbloods seemed to leave or die before they reach twenty unless they stayed to become instructors here at the camp.

"I believe so. Rumor is the only time the monsters have gotten in was when they were purposely let in." There were powerful protections of that Terrance was sure. It seemed some campers were rather eager to fill in the new bloods about the dangers or 'awesomeness' of the camp. Most of the information had gone in one ear and out the other, but it had taken the time to register in his brain.

Shifting his weight from one foot to the other, the teenager wanted to question the man but instead kept it to himself and thought over everything he'd said so far. "There are Naiad's in the canoe lake," he stated testing the waters in order to gauge the man's reaction.

Ikuto did his best to stifle a cough in his throat. He wasn't used to talking so often, and it was taking its toll. Also, he could barely keep his voice at an acceptable volume level. Generally, he would clear his throat or have something to drink, but he didn't want Terrance to see a potential weakness. He was still skeptical of the human.

So, he just nodded and hoped he wouldn't have to speak.

It made sense that there was a barrier, which is what he had deduced, but wished to question. Though he would have found it just as plausible for them to practice "patrolling the borders" with that sort of live experience.

Also, it did not surprise him that there were Naiads around. He himself has met a couple during his travels. They don't care for him much, but as long as he didn't get too close or became threatening, they left him alone.

He sucked up his discomfort and spoke, "It doesn't surprise me that there are with young charges around for them to guide."

Thanos had secretly been watching and following Terrance and Ikuto for awhile. South of them and downwind. So that the breeze would blow his scent in a different direction. He made sure to follow and track them without being noticed by them. He had listened in interest to their conversation at the armory. Walking off and heading away to go and gather something he made for Terrance at their cabin. Vanishing into the tent and retrieving this item. He had left the two alone for some time after deeming Ikuto not a threat or danger to Terrance.

Gathering a couple other things and putting a huge sword in a sheath upon his back. A couple other items were sheathed and placed upon his waistline before he grabbed a small bag then left with it.  He found himself trying to find them again before he finally found them near the lake with the Naiads. He walked over to them from the side and tried slouching some but ended up standing up and tall. Something he usually didn't do but he was feeling more confident today after things he heard Terrance say. "They were....but thats not important...." He stated in response to Terrance's words. Stopping two feet from both males and able to look at them both. "Guide? Guide who?"

Accepting what the man said, Terrance wondered about it. He'd never head that before and was grateful for the new information, if it was true. All he knew was that the naiad's were in the lake. Terrance generally tried to stay away from places that were inhabited by any time of creature. Or a place that he would be at a distinct disadvantage which a body of water would be. He'd have to ask the man more about this when he could.

Aware of Thanos a split second before he spoke, Terrance turned and stared at the other boy. His mind distractedly went over the words that didn't seem to make sense and filed them away for later as he stated, "The naiads. Apparently they've been neglecting their job description."

What in the world was Thanos up to now? Canting his head to the side, he allowed the question to appear in his eyes. The only time he'd seen him like this was when they were traveling and he'd found something or other he'd wanted to tinker or experiment with. Of course what Terrance really wanted to ask was where the heck the other teen had been.

Ikuto took immediate notice of the man as he purposefully walked towards them. His stare felt familiar too, though since everyone had been watching their tour it wasn't surprising.

However, when the man stopped and spoke, he almost frowned. The man's words showed that he had actually been around and closer than he truly realized. Or he had a demigod power that revolved around hearing, he has heard and has seen stranger things.

He pushed the thought aside for another day and focused on the newest topic of conversation.

"The Naiads are nymphs, or minor goddesses depending on who you talk to, that live in or near bodies of water. Those under Artemis nursed the young and protected girls, guiding them into adulthood. And those under Apollon and various River Gods did the same for boys." He paused and cleared his throat.

"And by being here, occasionally helping demigods either by saving them from drowning or offering a word here or there, they are completing their duties. But because those here are demigods and subject to otherworldly guidelines they can't help as much as they probably should."

((OOC: Sorry for the delay. I hated the short post had done and hope this ones more enjoyable. Also...sorry in advance...Thanos is at times all over the place. Complicated...does weird things etc. ))

Thanos looked between the two males before him. His gaze starting with Terrance, moving to Ikuto, roaming around them before returning back to Terrance. Silently questioning the other on why he hadn't called him to him before now. Why he didn't ask him to help him even if it was something as simple as this. Though he didn't ask any words out loud, he was sure Terrance read these questions, and more on his features. In his body language and in his that met Terrance's. However, to someone who didn't know him it would not be as easy to read or understand him. Not the way Terrance could and with likely less accuracy. With a silent I'm here now and I'm happy to help you from here on out to to the other male...he shifted his gaze to Ikuto again.

His puppy like expression serious. He was much taller than the boys their own age or even older. He was trying to shrink himself down. Shifting items around and studied the guy before him. He had been trying to figure it out. Finally just stating audibly. "You are different...even from the others here. You are like those here but not. Interesting." He stated in a spaced out, faraway tone that Terrance would recognize from anywhere. Some of the more recent times involved that one chick who they met a year ago and even a time after that. It was moments after this with silence that he seemed otherworldly and deep in though. All before suddenly Terrance's gaze and words snapped him out of it. Looking momentarily dazed before he focused back on Terrance.

Titling his head to the side and grinned. Moving over to the other and pulled him close. Hugging him gently once before letting go and backing up. Tilting his head to the side. "They might be mad at Mr. D then...wouldn't work for him either if I could help it." He murmured. Looking his gaze to the other there with a curious look. His intense gaze and stare, comments from before, none of them were recollected so he genuinely just wanted to know more about this guy he had watched getting a tour with Terrance. Listening to the male as he began teaching. His gaze glancing to Terrance like he really is a teacher. His attention moving around them again as he listened to what Ikuto was saying even though he seemed to be paying attention to everything but him. "Fascinating....maybe they just don't like Mr. D." A pause as Ikuto spoke even more information then finished up.

Even he understood what the man was saying. If he was here to teach the guy was definitely someone even idiots could understand. His words picking up again.. "nor feel we need it yet then." Another pause. "If that is true...." A long trail off pause as his gaze moved to Terrance. Standing tall again noticing the others question that appeared in his eyes. He grinned and looked excited. Instead of answering Ikuto the rest of it. His delayed responses kicking in as he responded to Terrance, and by proxy Ikuto who had by this point long since finished explaining and was looking at them. "Probably. They are mostly women anyways and they are fickle creatures. The Naiads are naiads. There is very few demi-gods who are anything but mortal and not..." He spoke each sort sentence with pauses between each. Moments would pass before he spoke again because he really sucked at words. He had delayed reactions too. Such as now.

Turning his attention to the man and grinned. "I'm Thanos." He said as a clear after thought before his gaze returned to Terrance. He nodded his head to the others unspoken question. "yes. I did. I found interesting things. I paused work on our cabin. I found interesting things. I found a..." He trailed off and blinked. As if just recollecting Ikuto was here. Withdrawing into himself and grew serious. His gaze staring warily at Ikuto. Was it okay to speak around him? "Who are you?" He asked as he thought he knew but hadn't quite caught that the times he followed them.

That was information that he didn't know and filed it away for perusal at a later date. Terrance had an idea about why the knowledge was sketchy, but would think it over and ask questions later. At the moment, he was both relieved and irked that Thanos had decided to show up now. Relieved so he knew where the other was and wouldn't have to go looking for where the most chaos was happening to locate him. Seeing the returned question in Thanos' eyes he gave a minute shrug with the look that said he'd explain later, and looked away. There were times when he would like solitude, but it was a known fact, at least between the two boys, that Terrance felt edgy when he hadn't any inkling to where to the younger teen was.

Knowing the reactions that Thanos got from people, Terrance kept a wary eye on the two. Then Thanos had to go and be Thanos, causing Terrance to try to subtly step closer. So it seemed he'd been right then, that Ikuto wasn't someone to trifle with. And Thanos the leach was back causing him to sigh. It was like ping pong or channel surfing when it came to trying to keep up with conversations with him. Terrance though he got confused at times, had adapted somewhat to having to remember conversations and discussion from up to a week before as if they were happening at that moment only. He shifted a bit closer to Thanos and shook his head. They really needed to talk about his fixation on the camp director.

It was interesting though to watch other people's reactions to Thanos' antics, and Terrance, well, he enjoyed watching. What was that phrase about it was funny if it wasn't happening to you? So, he sat back and observed, lip twitching with suppressed mirth and fond resignation. Accepting the offhand answers he got to his silent questions which only spurred more. Obviously, the other knew some of the ones's he'd ask since he was bout to talk but then clammed up when he remembered they weren't alone. Terrance's own gaze shifted from Thanos to Ikuto and back. "Mr. D asked me to play guide since Ikuto was asked to come here," he informed.

His eyes flashed to the man at his telling words. He wasn't sure how much he knew... but he was currently jumping to conclusions. Ikuto didn't know if he knew anything or not.

So in response, "I may be, I may not. However, if you ever notice such a thing again, it's best to keep it secret from the person you are deducing while pretending not to know, unless you wish to pull a Sherlock. If you don't know who he is, he is a fictional character that would be able to deduce many true facts about a person, almost laying out their life history, and it is unnerving to most. This could be used as a distraction."

With that said, he went silent again. So, he didn't like Mr. D. Interesting.

This man had a fascinating thought process. It kept jumping around and the only connecting part was what was actually going through his head. His lip twitched as if to make a smile. Speaking with -- the now named -- Thanos could prove to be interesting, frustrating, and exciting.

"My name is Ikuto. I'll be a new instructor." Short, sweet, and to the point while leaving many questions. It was for the best and would keep everyone guessing. With a small downside of being watched or followed, but it would be easy to deal with that.

Just like he was guessing as to what the two's looks meant that kept passing between them. It was obviously -- to him -- a silent conversation, but the key was out of his reach.

"And Terrance has been an excellent guide thus far." He added to Terrance's lone, vocal sentence.

"Speaking of, would you prefer to continue the rest another time, so you may go off with Thanos?"
